This May, I’m setting myself a challenge: jogging 50km ( 1.6km a day) to raise money for Breast Cancer Ireland. Last year, I went through my own battle with breast cancer. It gave me a whole new perspective on how important early detection, treatment, and ongoing research really are. Breast Cancer Ireland plays a big role in funding research and improving outcomes for people like me, helping to make treatments better and survival rates higher. Jogging 1.6km a day is a small challenge in comparison to what so many people face during and after a cancer diagnosis—but it’s something I can do to give back and hopefully make a difference.
