Maria Reynolds fundraising for Breast Cancer Ireland in Run 100K in October

Thank you so much for visiting my page and taking the time to read my story. 🩷 I thought I’d share a little bit about why I’m taking on this challenge and why it means so much to me.

In July 2025, my life changed completely when I was diagnosed with breast cancer after finding a lump in my breast. 🩷

It was the shock of my life to receive this news, and my head was flooded with fear, anxiety and utter sadness.

I was so blessed to be taken under the care of Beaumont Breast Clinic, where the care, understanding and professionalism have been truly outstanding.

I underwent my first surgery in August 2025 and my final, and fifth, surgery in November 2025. It was one hell of a journey and certainly kept me quiet and off running for some time!

Since that last surgery, and after weeks of rest and recovery, I slowly started to find my way back to myself.

Now, almost a year on from my final surgery, I’ve decided to take on a 100k challenge to raise money for Breast Cancer Ireland.

When I saw this challenge, I thought it was so fitting. It will be a full year in November since my last surgery, so what better way to celebrate my journey, do something I love, and at the same time raise money for such an important cause.

The 100k will definitely be a challenge for me, but I’m looking forward to getting out and giving it a go! 🩷

Every year in Ireland, over 3,700 women and around 30 men are diagnosed with breast cancer. If you can, please donate and help Breast Cancer Ireland in the fight against breast cancer. Every donation, no matter how big or small, can make a difference.

If you have been affected by breast cancer and would like to reach out to me, please do. I would be so happy to share my story and help in any way I can. 🩷

Thank you so much for your support.
