Since my breast cancer diagnosis in May 2025 I've had a double mastectomy , got married, am currently getting chemotherapy, after which I'll be having radiotherapy. To say that life, the last 6 months has been a bit wild , is a massive understatement. I went into my operation in May in pretty good shape, fitness wise and this walking challenge is my first attempt at regular daily movement again in a while. It's really hard to admit that walking 2km a day will be a genuine physical challenge but it's the first steps in the eventual comeback. Just need to get the rest of the chemo and radio out of the way 💪🏻💗. I spontaneously (perhaps steroids induced!) bought a little walking treadmill so when that arrives I'll use it to get me moving again and make my way through this insane period of my life. So this is a personal challenge aswell as a fundraiser. Thank you again because every bit of support makes a difference.🌻
