River Leisure Centre at Castle Oaks House Hotel will host a 24-hour “Pink Padel Marathon” on June 13th–14th in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland, while also officially launching its brand-new padel courts. The charity event will run continuously from 8am Saturday to 8am Sunday, with 96 participants taking part in one-hour playing slots throughout the 24 hours. A €10 participation fee will go directly to Breast Cancer Ireland, with additional donations accepted throughout the event. The marathon will feature local personalities, businesses and community supporters, with All-Ireland winning Limerick captain Declan Hannon and broadcaster Louise Cantillon already confirmed to take part. The event will also include a BBQ, beer tent, DJ entertainment and spot prizes, creating a fun and family-friendly atmosphere across the weekend.
